HabitLight App – Terms of Use

Welcome to HabitLight (“the App”). The App is provided by an independent developer to help families build children’s self-discipline and habits through tasks, points, and rewards. Please read these terms carefully before use.

1. Use of the App

HabitLight is for personal, non-commercial use by parents and their household members only.
Parents are responsible for supervising children’s use and ensuring that content entered is appropriate for education and family standards.
By using the App, you agree to these terms.

2. Features

Core features are free.
Some advanced features (e.g. multiple children, extra tasks, extra rewards) require a one-time in-app purchase to unlock.
Unlocked features are permanent and tied to your Apple ID.

3. Data and Storage

All data is stored on your device or your chosen local/network storage (e.g. NAS) by default.
The App does not automatically upload or share your data to remote servers.

4. In-App Purchases and Payment

Purchases are made through Apple’s App Store payment system.
Refunds are not available after purchase except as allowed under Apple’s refund policy.
Purchases apply only to the Apple ID used at the time of purchase.

5. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your data and device secure.
The developer is not responsible for recovering data lost due to device failure or uninstalling the App.

6. Intellectual Property

The name HabitLight, its icon, interface, and functionality are protected by copyright.
You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content without permission.

7. Disclaimer

The App is an educational tool only and does not replace parental supervision or responsibility.
The developer is not liable for any loss arising from your use, device issues, or system compatibility.

8. Changes to These Terms

The developer may update these terms at any time.
Changes will be announced in the App; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
